ShuttleFollowing the cancellation of the transport company, the LOC is organizing free shuttle services using a few cars to and from the Meudon Val-Fleury (RER C) and Meudon (Transilien N, Place du 8 Mai 1945) stations in the morning and evening. These vehicles will be recognizable by the conference poster. Wednesday 20 (Evening): to Meudon Val-Fleury RER C & Meudon Transilien N stations (separate cars): departures around 7:00 PM, 8:00 PM, and 9:00 PM (arrival at the station ~10 min. later). Thursday 21 (Morning): from Meudon Val-Fleury RER C & Meudon Transilien N stations (separate cars): departures at 8:25 AM and 8:45 AM (arrival at the Observatory ~10 min. later). Thursday 21 (Afternoon): to Meudon Val-Fleury RER C & Meudon Transilien N stations (separate cars): departures around 6:30 PM and 7:00 PM (arrival at the station ~10 min. later). Social gatheringsOn Tuesday 19 evening, from 20h00 onwards, there will be a dinner cocktail in the Cassini room at the Paris Observatory, 77 avenue Denfert-Rochereau, 75014 Paris. On Wednesday 20 evening, from 18h45 onwards, there will be a "night-session" at the Meudon Observatory, building 18, 5 place Jules Janssen, 92195 Meudon, with posters, stands, and aperitif. Visits of the Grande Coupole will be organized every 30min from 19h30. Accomodation Many hotels are located near the Montparnasse train station, which helps minimize travel time. For those wishing to stay in Meudon, the Ibis budget Meudon is the closest option. |
